a wooden vintage tennis racket from dunlop. the modern tennis racket was invented in the 19th century, with a wooden, angular frame designed to maximise the area in which to hit a ball. in the 1940s, the frame evolved into a laminated flexible wood frame (similar to this one), and it wasn't until the 1950s that metal frames came about.
