solid wood nesting tables

a trio of solid wood nesting tables, re-sanded and finished with teak oil for a smooth, matte satin finish. teak oil protects the wood by replenishing oils, preventing cracks, and making wood a bit more water resistant. the last photo here shows the before and after of these tables—the renew line is all about giving second life to beautiful furniture pieces.

in british history, thomas sheraton is often credited with designing the first nesting tables—however this might just be one of the first documented design publications. the nesting table was a clever solution to offer a variety of table-top space when needed, but also able to tuck away when not. fun fact: etymology of the word furniture in most european languages comes from the latin, mobile, or moveables. for more, read on here.
