For this edition of the thursday book club, we invite you to join us for an evening of reflection and introspection, inspired by the ever-popular bistro de lettres in paris.
In collaboration with today fit, we will be doing a reading of some iconic and noteworthy letters, before each settling down to write a letter to our future self, accompanied by a wine, cocktail or tea. After the writing session, we’ll segue into light (optional) discussion and drinks.

Time: 7 - 9 pm (doors open at 6:30pm)
Venue: Hjem, 161 Hollywood Road
Each ticket includes 1 drink (alcoholic or non-alcoholic), and postage for your letter, to be sent to you on 17th April 2026. Additional food and beverage will be available for purchase.
Schedule
- 6:30 pm: doors open
- 7:00 - 7:45 pm: readings - letters of note
- 7:45- 8:30 pm: independent letter writing time (stationery provided)
- 8:30 - 9:00 pm: open social and mingling

A women-led social enterprise founded by book-lovers, gentle books accepts English-language book donations with the aim of rehoming them via reselling or distribution to other secondhand bookshops, charity organisations, recycling and upcycling. gentle books commits 20% of its profits to literacy and education-based NGOs.
